World's Longest Place Name

Thailand has beaten challenges from New Zealand and Wales for the world's longest place name. Lets see.

WALES boasts a village called
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (58 letters), which in English means "Saint Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of Saint Tysilio near the red cave."

NEW ZEALAND stakes its claim on the Maori name for a hill near Porangahau, Hawkes Bay, which is called
Tetaumatawhakatangihangakoauaotamateaurehaeaturipukapihimaungahoronuku pokaiwhenuaakitanarahu (92 letters).
The name means "The place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed, and swallowed mountains, known as land eater, played his flute to his loved one."

THAILAND also boasts the Bangkok as the world's longest name:

Krung-thep-maha-nakorn-boworn-ratana-kosin-mahintar- ayudhya-amaha-dilok-pop-nopa-ratana-rajthani-burirom-udom-rajniwes-mahasat-arn-amorn-pimarn- avatar-satit- sakattiya-visanukam (163 letters).

The meaning are as following:

' krungthep mahanakorn '
= The great city of angels,

' amorn rattanakosin mahintara yutthaya mahadilok phop '

My last Sunday Night in Bradford

Yesterday was my last sunday night in bradford, i woke up around 10am (so lazy me). I had prawn cocktail and bread as breakfast (YUMMY). I felt so lazy all day (as usual actually) but i had to do my work then i let my ting-tong program (MATLAB) did its job, while i was waiting for my programe i updated my blog-ie. I found new tool (eiei) then i did update my blog, hope u guys like it. Gosh!! My program was so slow (like a snail - maybe snail is faster). My friend from uni called and asked me to go out, but pk was so lazy. There was nothing much for my day except updating my blog-ie and waiting for my MATLAB.

After my dinner (toasted chicken and rice), i had jogging in the park .... and i spent my night for working (poor me) untill now.

It's almost 3am now, im still waiting for my program (eiei). I shall let it do its job while i am sleeping then maybe tomorow the results will be shown (5555).

My Last Saturday night in Bradford

Yesterday (5 Aug 06) was my last saturday for me in bradford UK. I had asked my friends to go out at night. We went to the club named EDWARDS, it was nice. There were many people there and i noticed somthing there, all men have same hair-style (short mak style) [ps. mak (thai language) = very]. I found that it was little funny, coz most men in thailand (hot country) have long haircut but people in cold mak country such a UK have short mak haircut (eiei). It is a little TING-TONG indeed [ps. TING-TONG = crazy, funny].

I had one CORONA there in EDWARDs and then we moved to another place named BABOOZA. It was country-style, most people there were quite old then i prefer the first place (eiei). But one of my friends, he liked this place so we spent our night there. I had another one CORONA. After that we had mid-night meal at the shop which was near our university (Bradford University) and i reached my flat at around 1 am (6 Aug 06).

My last saturday night was dee [ps. dee (thai language) = good], i had dee mak time. I may thanks my friends here, they said they gonna miss me when i'm back Thailand. I will miss them and BRADFORD too. I will miss UK, especially someone in shieffield (UK), i will definitely miss him.

HM the King leaves Siriraj Hospital

Jubilant throngs of well-wishers wept, sang and shouted "Long Live the King" as he was wheeled down a ramp out of the hospital where he stayed since July 20. The 78-year-old monarch was admitted to the operation for an operation to treat a lumbar spinal stenosis, a degenerative narrowing of the spinal canal. Throughout 16 days of HM the King's staying at the hospital, Thais had maintained vigils praying for the health and recovery their much-revered sovereign. Daily life in Bangkok and throughout the country came to a sudden standstill on Friday afternoon as people wearing in yellow shirts poured onto the streets or sat glued in front of television sets to watch live coverage of the king's emergence.

Today is such a good day. INDDEED !!!

The RainBow for My Lovely day (4 August 2006), such a nice Day.
